Social buyer mobile application

User research - Design sprint facilitation - Prototyping - Information architecture
Description
This product is a social commerce mobile application. It offers its users the opportunity to discover hot deals of products and services in discount nearby them. They can share their experiences with their products which give them the ability to market these products or services and get rewards for doing so (Affiliate Marketing).
My role
In this project, I was the user researcher, I've facilitated the design sprint with the client and the team to create a concept prototype that we tested internally. After that, we created an information architecture to create a detailed high fidelity prototype.

User research

A part from the affinity wall (qualitative data analysis)
For this project, we conducted a qualitative user research through interviews. In order for us to make sense of the data we collected during the interviews, we have to analyze the qualitative data we have in our hands. First, we need to review the notes we’ve taken from the interviews and listen to the audio recordings. The next step is to highlight what seems interesting and generate what is called “affinity notes”.

After generating the affinity notes, we get what we call “The affinity wall” which is a wall full ofthe sticky notes we wrote ready for organizing.
After creating the affinity wall, we need to organize these affinity notes in to themes. This process is called “Clustering affinity notes”. The clusters or the themes we’re going to create will be giving a general idea about the affinity notes in them.
A persona to make the team empathzie with users

Design sprint

We successfully translated the business strategy and the user needs creating concept prototypes after a team effort of ideation and problem solving exercises in the workshops of the design sprint.

My role was not only to participate but also to facilitate the design sprint so everyone understands what's going on including the client.

After the 3 days of business strategy and ideation workshops, I create a concept prototype that we test with users to get feedback before creating a detailed prototype.

Concept prototype

The concept prototype is mid-fidelity to a high-fidelity prototype where the goal is to make the ideas and sketches we generated during the design sprint into a tangible prototype that we can with real users.

Information architecture

In this part of the process we create value proposition canvases so we can remember the whole team of the purpose of the product and to warm them up in the brainstorming we do to generate ideas about the features we should add for the detailed prototype. Then we create user flow charts as well as a "start with why" canvas to identify the content strategy.
